The primary responsibility of the Nagar Panchayat is to improve the quality of life of the citizens by developing and maintaining essential public services at an appropriate level. Various important public services such as sanitation, drinking water, de-contamination, drainage, street lighting, and road repairs are carried out in different areas of the city. To ensure their proper maintenance and upkeep, and to maintain continuous communication with the public for swift action, it is essential to develop a system that works efficiently and automatically.
With this objective in mind, a public contact system is being developed through e-governance. Under this system, citizens will be able to file complaints via various public service centers, telephones, internet, and call centers. These complaints will be forwarded to the relevant departments immediately through the internet and networking. Furthermore, the progress of the complaint will be updated on the internet, allowing the complainant to track the status of their grievance in real-time.
The Nagar Panchayat is committed to maintaining its sensitivity towards the public and is working to develop a robust grievance redressal system. The full success of this initiative will only be possible with the active cooperation of the citizens.
